Iliana is a member of the Marine and Commercial Litigation Group. She acts for a broad range of clients including shipowners, P&I clubs and Lloyd’s syndicates. Iliana also has experience in yacht disputes and financial and investment related commercial litigation and arbitration.
Iliana is also part of our Finance Group. She specialises in banking, trade and ship finance, including bilateral and syndicated secured and unsecured lending and banking regulation and compliance. Iliana has also assisted in trade and commodity finance transactions acting for banks, financial institutions and corporates.
Iliana joined Thomas Cooper as a trainee solicitor in September 2015 and qualified in September 2017. During her training, she spent six months in our Piraeus office.
Before joining Thomas Cooper, Iliana trained as a Greek lawyer in a Piraeus-based law firm, where she spent two years in the shipping disputes department.
Iliana holds a law degree from University of Warwick and an LLM in International Commercial Law from the University College London. She is admitted both as a Solicitor (Law Society of England & Wales) and an Attorney at Law (Piraeus Bar Association). She is a native Greek speaker.
